Tell me, please, what are the soil catalysts and what is their principle of operation. Thanks.
Catalysts are divided into three types: homogeneous, heterogeneous and biological. It is the biological ones that are used in the cultivation of plant crops. Soil catalysts are protein-based enzymes that differ in their specific action in certain chemical reactions. Soil catalysts are currently sold in gardening stores: Agrovit-Kor, Peat Oxidate, etc. The principle of their action is simple. The catalyst introduced into the soil accelerates the creation of stable humus in the soil. Without the use of catalysts when applying only biological fertilizers (compost, humus, mulch), the effect of humus is achieved only after 4-6 years. It was also noted that the created humus soil with the help of catalysts retains the phenomenon of plant gigantism (growth of a plentiful and healthy crop) for several years, while the soil that is fed with biological fertilizers lose their fertility in the season when their application to the soil ceased.
