First time growing Sunberry. Is it possible to collect berries that are not fully ripened, will they reach? Thanks!
Sunberry harvesting starts from the end of September (from the upper leaves), as it bears fruit up to the first frosts. The ripeness of the berries depends on weather conditions. If the weather is warm in your area and the rainy season has not yet begun, then leave the berry picking until at least the end of October.
It is known that the last crop is removed together with the bush. Sunberry is dug up and suspended in a dry room or in a greenhouse by the root system. Thus, the berries ripen. If you dig a bush now, you will lose its green part of the crop. Since only those berries ripen that have acquired a color closer to black.
