  • high productivity;
  • universal use of fruits;
  • unpretentiousness;
  • shade tolerance, resistance to thickened landings.

Cucumber "Temp-f1" is considered one of the best short-fruited hybrids intended for cultivation in LPH. Planting cucumbers can be carried out in two ways: by sowing the seeds of cucumbers immediately on the beds or by planting pre-grown seedlings.

Cucumber Growing: Early Harvest

Sowing seeds

Of great importance when growing cucumbers in the open field is the preparation of seeds for sowing, which includes sorting by size and specific gravity, hardening and heating. However, the seed material from many manufacturers is sold after processing with special formulations and does not need additional measures.

Before forming cucumber ridges, it is recommended to pour a fifteen-centimeter layer of fertile soil on top. When sowing, it is desirable to take into account the following features of cultivation:

  • the best predecessors of cucumbers are represented by potatoes, tomatoes, legumes and table root crops;
  • cucumbers abundantly bear fruit when grown on fertile and fairly light soils;
  • crops should be started when the soil temperature at a depth of 10 cm will be at least 16-18 ° C;
  • cucumber seeds are allowed to be sown both along and across the ridges, using the ordinary method;
  • the seeds sprinkled in holes or furrows should be mulched with peat, the layer of which can be 2-3 cm.

The sowing depth should not be more than 3-3.5 cm. Sowing seeds before emergence should be covered with a film or plexiglass. When using the seedlingless method, it must be remembered that the timing of sowing seeds in central Russia begins in late May and ends in the first decade of June.

Seedling method

Cucumber seedlings are grown in order to obtain the first crop a couple of weeks earlier than when sowing seed material directly into the ground. Temp-f1 hybrid cucumbers are grown in seedlings most often in the central and northern regions of Russia.

It is advisable to grow cucumber seedlings in special boxes for one month, and then transplant the plants into greenhouses or open ground. Cucumber seedlings are very difficult to tolerate picking, and in addition, the following cultivation rules must be observed:

  • you need to water the seedlings with warm, warmed up to 20-25 ° C, standing water;
  • the temperature during the day should be maintained at 18-22 ° C, and at night lowered to 18 ° C;
  • double top dressing should be carried out with a solution of urea, chloride or potassium sulfate and superphosphate;
  • a week before planting, the seedlings are quenched at a temperature of 12-13 ° C.

Good seedlings of cucumbers should have a thick stem, short internodes and a dark green color.

Care Rules

Proper care of plants is to protect against frost, loosening the soil, watering, fertilizing, weed, pest and disease control. Cucumber "Temp-f1" can be protected from lowering the temperature with the help of special portable shelters or arcs with a film. If the ridges are not mulled, then special attention should be paid to regular loosening of the upper soil layer and removal of the soil crust. Watering should be moderate and always only with warm water. After watering and rains, the soil must be loosened.

You need to feed cucumbers with organic components, as well as mineral fertilizers, alternating their application. From organics, it is recommended to use high-quality slurry or bird droppings. It is best to top dress after rain or immediately after watering. Well-developed plants are rarely affected by diseases and pests.

At the moment, there are several schemes for the formation of a bush of cucumber. Such a mandatory procedure has a great impact on both the quantity and quality of the resulting fruit. When cultivating cucumbers on trellises, the lower part of the leaves always remains dry. This method allows you to protect cucumber plantings from the defeat of powdery mildew.

Reviews gardeners

Cucumber "Temp-f1" is very popular among gardeners. The seeds of this hybrid can be attributed to the high price category, which makes the "Temp" is not very affordable for most. However, reviews of this hybrid are very numerous and positive.

Most gardeners grow it in seedlings, using both ridges in open ground and greenhouses as a permanent place. Transplanted cucumbers take root very quickly and begin active growth. After about 3.5 weeks, mass flowering and the formation of numerous ovaries are observed, from which very smooth, beautiful and insanely delicious cucumbers form. The fruits are genetically without bitterness and are good both in pickling and in salads.
