Peach "Condor" ("Candor") of American selection ripens in the first half of July and belongs to the early varieties of this fruit crop. The variety was bred almost twenty years ago and managed to become popular and in demand in many countries.
Description and characteristics of the variety
The Condor peach tree is very tall with a fairly sprawling crown. Fruits have a round-oval shape with a small beak. The main color of the skin is saturated golden yellow with a profuse red blush.
The pulp is orange-yellow in color, with pronounced streaks of red. Description of the pulp declares good juiciness and meatiness of the fruit. The consistency is rather dense. The taste is sweet, with a slight acidity, very pleasant. The bone is well separated from the pulp. The mass of marketable fruit can vary from 155 to 235 g.
As a rule, the crop fully ripens in the last decade of June or early July, which depends on weather conditions in the region where this fruit crop is grown. Yields are very high. Resistance to damage by curly leaves is observed, as well as increased winter hardiness and excellent indicators of transportability of the harvested crop.

To obtain a high and stable yield of Condor peach, it is recommended to pay special attention to irrigation activities, as well as the feeding of fruiting plants:
- fertility of garden soil must be maintained throughout the entire period of plant cultivation through the application of mineral and organic fertilizers;
- the largest amount of nitrogen in the form of ammonium nitrate, which has a positive effect on the development and fruit production of peach, is necessary for plants in the spring, at the stage of active growth of the vegetative mass of fruit trees;
- potash top dressing, which promotes the absorption of carbon dioxide and nitrogen by plants, as well as increases the resistance of the fruit crop to adverse external factors, is carried out by introducing appropriate mineral fertilizers and ash into the trunks;
- Of no small importance are foliar phosphate top dressing, which positively affects the yield and quality indicators of fruits, including the sugar content of peach pulp.
In terms of home gardening, organic fertilizers are very popular. Fertilizing plants with compost, manure or slurry has a positive effect on the growth and development of fruit crops. When growing peach trees on fairly fertile soils, organic fertilizing is carried out no more than once every couple of years. Organic food is given annually at poorer nutrient sites.

In dry and hot weather, Condor peach trees should be watered every ten days, spending at least a couple buckets of water per plant. Peach loves abundant watering in the summer, however, when implementing irrigation measures, it is necessary to take into account such an indicator as soil moisture capacity.
The cultivation of this fruit crop on well-drained and fairly light soils, where the water does not stagnate, involves the main watering at the fruit setting stage, in approximately May and June. Cultivation of peach trees on loams and chernozems will not require such an amount of irrigation. It is very important to remember that at the stage of ripening or fruit loading, peach trees do not water at all.
Peach plantations are recommended to be watered on specially equipped furrows. In young gardening, one furrow is made on both sides of each row of plants.
