Fruit culture is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth, East Siberian and Northwest regions of our country. Positive feedback and ratings were obtained during the cultivation of this variety in the soil and climatic conditions of the Moscow region.

Fruit Description

Tree characteristic

The pear of the Otradnenskaya variety, popular in our country, forms standard-type trees below average height. A characteristic feature of young plants is the presence of a funnel-shaped crown. The crown shape of already mature and productive fruit trees is round or oval with medium density and strong leafiness.

The main staining of the cortex on the stem is dark gray. Skeletal branches of gray color, are located in an oblique-vertical direction. Gloves of a sedentary type, the final form. Renal excitability rates are rated high. The formation of shoots is moderate.

Feeding scheme

Correct and timely top-dressing of the Otradnenskaya pear is a guarantee of regular and plentiful fruiting. Highly productive fruit stands are more dependent on the quality and quantity of fertilizers applied. Experienced gardeners recommend to adhere to the following scheme for feeding pears at all stages of the growing season:

  • After the snow mass has almost completely melted and active sap flow has begun, fruit plantations are especially in need of nitrogen fertilizers. Substances such as ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate and urea have proven very good.
  • In the summer, the introduction of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers in the form of superphosphate and potassium sulfate is very important. An insufficient amount of such substances in the soil often becomes the cause of chopping of leaves and fruits, as well as folding of ovaries.

  • Until mid-September, the last introduction of nitrogen-containing fertilizers. Mandatory is the autumn dressing of fruit stands with mineral complexes.
  • Compost, manure, bird droppings, green manure and slurry are best suited for annual organic feeding.

A significant part of amateur gardeners are very actively using foliar dressings, which show high efficiency. With such top dressing, by spraying, fruit plants receive basic nutrients directly through the foliage.. The use of microfertilizers, organic fertilizers and mineral complexes gives a good result. With foliar top dressing, it is required to use fairly weak solutions of the drugs.

Reviews of gardeners about the variety

A fairly common pear variety called "Otradnenskaya" is characterized by insignificant crumbling of ripened fruits and high rates of transportability of the harvested crop. The variety belongs to the category of partially self-fertile, so experienced gardeners recommend planting pear varieties such as Moskvichka, Marble, and Elegant Efimova.

How to prune a pear

The pear "Otradnenskaya" was praised for its early maturity and high productivity: yield, subject to growing technology, reaches 40-42 kg per adult tree. Regular fruiting combined with high resistance to difficult cultivation conditions and major diseases make this variety very popular.
